Carrots! Onions! Celery! Get ready to get chopped and get boiled! VegStock is on the way! the branch restaurant, in conjunction with the Salvation Army Food Bank, The Kemptville Kinsmen and the Dandelion Festival is proud to introduce VegStock on Sunday, June 8th! VegStock is a full day of the Ottawa Valley's finest folk, country, bluegrass, roots and rock and roll music; Texas style Barbecue; Beau's Lug Tread beer and an opportunity to help support the Kemptville Farmer's Market as it enters its second year!

Kemptville's own Dandelion Festival, returning for its ninth spring, celebrates the local arts community of Kemptville with a host of crafts, artisans, artists and performers. This year marks the first year for the festival to come downtown for a street party to Kemptville's newly refurbished 'Old Town' core. VegStock, in the parking lot of Xtreme car wash across from the branch restaurant (15 Clothier St. East, in downtown Kemptville) will serve as the stage for music as well as an outdoor beer garden for the event featuring VanKleek Hill's fabulous Beau's All Natural Lug Tread Beer. In addition, the branch will be offering Texas style barbecued beef and Not-so-Texas style barbecued smoked portobella mushroom sandwiches. The Dandelion Festival will also host other food vendors, including a Lion's Club barbecue and treats from Butler's Victorian Pantry.

The VegStock portion of the Festival is a paid admission of a can of food to help bolster up stores for the Salvation Army Food Bank.

VegStock will be hosting live music on an outdoor stage from noon until dark, including Lynne Hanson, John Carroll, Al Wood, Leavin' Train, Pat Moore, Meredith Luce, Jeff Meleras, The Standby Brothers and Barn. Other music and performances on a second stage TBA. More information on the events related to The Dandelion Festival including a bed race, canoe rentals and a dunking booth will be announced in upcoming weeks.

Bussing to and from Ottawa will be available from the Black Tomato restaurant in the ByWard market throughout the day for a small fee of $10.00 and a can of food.
